“Plot Against Hunger” Community Garden

“Plot Against Hunger” Community Garden

Activity: The St. Ann Community Garden is a “Plot Against Hunger” organic garden, built and maintained to grow crops for local food pantries, and help alleviate food insecurity in our community.  The garden has been active since 2016.

  • Volunteers plant and care for the crops, harvest the produce as it ripens, and package and deliver it to local food pantries for clients at the Arlington  Food Assistance Center (AFAC), and the food pantry at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in South Arlington.
  • Volunteers learn practical gardening skills while growing their faith through their work for others.

Volunteers:  All age groups, especially students and families.  If interested in helping, see this signup genius link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090C4AA5AB23AAF85-stann

Time Commitment:  Varies for planting, maintaining, harvesting and delivery.
