Prepare Bagged Meals for the Homeless – Third Tuesday of each month
A total of 50 bagged meals are prepared each month. Families can sign up via the SignUpGenius link below to make ten bags. The link has the details of what should go into each bag.
Activity: Prepare bagged meals for the homeless in support of PathForward (formerly A-SPAN). Bagged meals, usually ten bags, are prepared by families at home, and delivered to the St, Ann parking lot by 5:30pm
Deliver the 50 bagged meals to the PathForward Shelter located at 2020A14th St. North, in the Arlington Courthouse area, across from the police station. Two volunteers are needed for delivery. The link below also has details about delivering.
Volunteers: All ages for bag making; licensed drivers for delivery
Time Commitment: The time it takes to make and assemble 10 bagged meals. About one hour for delivery.

Serve Evening Meal at the PathForward (formerly A-SPAN) Shelter:
Activity: Help setup the serving area, including making and setting out drinks, condiments, napkins, and utensils; serve dinner to clients from 5:30 pm to 6:30pm; set aside and store leftovers, and do light cleanup of the serving area.
Volunteers: Adults, or youth over 18, are welcome. High-school age volunteers re welcomed but must be accompanied by an adult.
Requirements: Volunteers must be fully vaccinated, complete an application, and attend a virtual orientation, scheduled twice/month. See PathFoward link for information on these requirements and to sign up as a volunteer : https://pathforwardva.org/
