The sub-committee on Evangelization for the Jubilee anniversary invites you to the view the virtual “Renewing Faith Series” entitled, Becoming a Parish of Disciples through Prayer, Worship, and Intentional Gospel Living”. During our Jubilee Year, we will be offering a 45 minute presentation via Zoom on selected themes in Evangelization and Liturgy.

The theme for December is:

The Mass Yesterday, Today, and to Come:

Where did our present way of celebrating Mass come from, how to understand the continuing attachment of some to the Tridentine Mass,

ways to enter into the celebration body and soul.

The December installment of the “Renewing Faith Series” will be available via Zoom on December 7, 7:30 pm – 8:15 pm.

Here is a bit more about Jim Schellman, our presenter:

Jim and Andrea Schellman have been members of St. Ann Parish for about 30 years. Jim has served the Church in a variety of leadership roles, including associate director of the Liturgy Office of the Cincinnati Archdiocese, associate executive director of the International Commission on English in the Liturgy (ICEL), executive director of the North American Forum on the Catechumenate (ceased operations in 2013), and, most recently, mission executive in a Catholic health system in Louisiana. During his ICEL years, he was one of the final editors of a number of the Church’s official English-language liturgical books. A speaker, teacher, and writer on topics ranging from liturgy, adult religious formation, Catholic healthcare, Church ministry, and marriage, Jim has B.A. and M.A. degrees in Theology from the University of Notre Dame.
