St. Ann School Welcomes A New Principal! Welcome Mr. Anthony Sahadi

The Principal Search Committee is pleased to announce the selection of Anthony Sahadi as Principal of Saint Ann Catholic School.  Mr. Sahadi will begin his role in July 2021.

The Search Committee—composed of members of the Diocese, school and parish—interviewed a number of qualified candidates.  After careful deliberation, Mr. Sahadi was chosen as the principal to carry out the school’s reputation as a “little school with big results.”

Mr. Sahadi comes to Arlington from the Diocese of Detroit and has over 23 years experience in both  public and Catholic education.  A Detroit native, Mr. Sahadi began his teaching career in 1998 at Gesu Catholic Grade School.  He became an Assistant Principal in 2003 at Christ the King Catholic School.  In 2016, his wife’s career brought them to the Washington, DC area where he served as Principal of St Martin of Tours Catholic School in Gaithersburg, MD.  In the summer of 2020, he moved backed to Detroit to care for his mother and served as Principal at St Frances Cabrini Catholic School.  While grateful for the time with his mother, he missed his wife and sons and wanted to return to Northern Virginia.

Mr. Sahadi holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Bachelor of Arts in History, both from the University of Detroit Mercy.

We’re very excited to have Anthony join us as Principal at Saint Ann Catholic School. He brings over two decades of valuable experience to the job. We feel that Anthony’s administrative capabilities and personal qualities will complement the school’s faculty and staff.

“I am very blessed and excited to serve St. Ann as your Catholic School Principal,” said Anthony Sahadi. “The following are words that I share with our students and teachers every morning after prayer:

Unleash The Gospel by being joyful missionaries of Christ. This is indicated by connecting the “Little Way:” the courage of small steps: simple steps in teaching and learning

to become Holy: Saints and wise scholars

                to become our best selves

                spirit + conviction + etiquette

to see the face of God and Christ in all
